With two 9 year old tech-savvy girls, I have always worried about them losing their cell phones. While traveling, I received a call and email in Dallas from TrackItBack telling me that they had found a cell phone identified to me. Now, I had no idea a cell phone was lost and neither did any of the kids. The cell phone had accidentally slipped out of a pocket of one of the girl's and fallen into the grass a couple blocks from where the kids live. TrackItBack explained that the finder just wanted to return it and that TrackItBack would have it hand delivered to the house in Iowa at no cost. When I purchased my Sony computer I received a free gift for my purchase - one year coverage to TrackItBack’s lost and found service. I put the TrackItBack tag on my computer and unfortunately sometime later it was stolen. I called TrackItBack to report that my computer was stolen and the very next day a received a call from one of the company’s staff advising me that my computer was found. A computer repair store staff contacted TrackItBack because of the tag on the computer. The staff at the computer store felt that the request to have the password reset on the computer was suspicious, so as a precaution the staff called TrackItBack to ask if the computer was stolen. TrackItBack put me in touch the computer repair store and I confirmed that the computer was mine. TrackItBack’s lost and found service saved me $1000.
